Additional Info INSTANTLY RECOGNIZABLE. The Trinity knot is the most well know Celtic knot. In the Christian faith, the three points of the Trinity knot represent the Father, Son & Holy Spirit. The name ‘shamrock’ comes from the Irish name “seamrog”, meaning little clover. The shamrock plant is also recognized the world over as the badge of Ireland. It has been a symbol of Ireland since the 18th century. IRISH CHARM. The shamrock’s most direct link to the Irish people comes in the form of the legend of Saint Patrick bringing Christianity to Ireland. According to legend, Saint Patrick explained the Christian Holy Trinity to the people of Ireland using the three leaves of the shamrock as a metaphor. DAINTY AND DELICATE. This pendant is the perfect combination of Celtic symbols and heritage. Our modern take on a piece of traditional Celtic jewelry, the pendants come on an 18" spiga chain. Pair this Trinity Knot & Shamrock Pendant with some Claddagh earrings for the perfect finish. JEWELRY CARE. We strongly recommend that you remove your jewelry while doing household chores and before you enter a pool or spa. Cleaning fluids, chemicals, and chlorinated water can react with metals causing color changes and structural damage. The same goes for cosmetics, hairspray, perfumes, and lotions. Putting jewelry on after you apply them can limit exposure and prevent damage. A LEGACY OF PASSION. Our story started back in the mid 1980s when the company was originally called Celtic & Heraldic. In 2003 the company changed ownership and our rebirth began under the husband and wife team of Lisa and Paul O’Neill. They decided to rebrand to the name you know now – Boru. Inspired by Brian Boru, the last High King of Ireland, it’s a name that transfers the qualities of creativity and energy.
